Your host, Kieren

Kieren grew up in Brisbane, Australia and in between surf trips, graduated with a business degree from University. “I spent the next few years based in London and traveled as much as possible. In 2002 I stopped in Japan to replenish my travel funds on the way to learn snowboarding in Canada. I quickly met Bo and realized Japan was home to a great Korean girl and the finest, driest, powder on the planet. I’ve been here ever since”.

Your hostess, Bo Yeon

Hana is the Entertainments Manager

Tenjin Lodge is family owned and managed. Your hostess, Bo Yeon, was born and raised in Seoul, Korea, where she studied French at university and while living in Canada as an exchange student. Bo moved to Japan in 2000 to study sound engineering and visual arts plus learn some Japanese. She then worked for a Japanese game company (think Sonic the hedgehog) in their overseas business development team. “Moving to the mountains has been wonderful. We have hiking, swimming holes and mountain biking at our doorstep. Its a great place for our daughter to grow up and we meet an interesting and diverse group of wonderful people”. Bo is fluent in Japanese, English and Korean and makes a mean kimchi nabe!
